Anti-Choice GOPer Admits: ‘I Didn’t Find Any’ Misuse Of Funds By Planned Parenthood

The GOP’s witch hunt against Planned Parenthood continues to be revealed as the useless fishing expedition in an attempt to roll back reproductive rights for women that it is. Even Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah)– the guy who made a fool of himself while trying to railroad Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards– has to admit it.

When questioned about the findings of the committee he heads up whose sole job is to catch Planned Parenthood doing something wrong, Rep. Chaffetz said he couldn’t come up with anything that suggested the organization was running afoul of federal laws with regards to how its funding is being used.

Chaffetz made the damning admission while speaking to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee:

Did I look at the finances and have a hearing specifically as to the revenue portion and how they spend? Yes. Was there any wrongdoing? I didn’t find any.

Undaunted, however, Chaffetz says that he wants to continue digging into Planned Parenthood until he finds something. On the other side of the aisle, the Democrats are asking to have David Deliden of the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), who is responsible for the hoax videos that prompted to far-right assault on Planned Parenthood. Democrats say that Deleiden and his organization likely participated in “a host of potentially illegal activities, including filing false documents with government agencies, falsely impersonating a legitimate business concern, soliciting charitable contributions under false pretenses, and secretly recording Planned Parenthood officials without their consent.”

Actually, it has been found that CMP, along with David Deleiden, repeatedly broke the law in their quest to get footage to edit into those shameful lies that have so many people up in arms and believing that Planned Parenthood is some kind of baby part factory. It isn’t, of course. These anti-choicers are simply using taxpayer money in an effort to advance a political agenda, and to strip women of a vital source of healthcare.

Jason Chaffetz and everyone involved in this witch hunt need to be removed from any kind of oversight committees they may be involved in, as they obviously do not have the ability to be objective here. Their sole purpose is to whip up fear and misogyny, not actually give any sort of unbiased report. Further, David Deleiden needs to be subpoenaed. This lying sack of shit should not be protected, as he already broke the law. Of course House Republicans don’t want that, because it would force the real truth out: that Planned Parenthood is not using federal funding for abortions, and that there is no selling of “baby body parts.”

These people are despicable. Luckily, even they can’t find anything to nail Planned Parenthood with, because there is nothing there, which is a win for women all over America.
