Black Lives Matter Minneapolis was holding a sit-in at the 4th Precinct station since the shooting of 24-year-old Jamar Clark who, witnesses say, was in handcuffs when police shot and killed him.
But late last night the local BLM posted on their Facebook page that white supremacists showed up to a Black Lives Matter rally. They were understandably asked to leave; BLM folks followed the supremacists to ensure that they were in fact leaving. About a block away from the gathering the supremacists shot the protesters, one in the leg and one in the stomach.

The good news is that the victims are expected to survive according to a tweet sent out from the Minneapolis Police Department. They also announced that they are searching for the 3 white supremacists who were involved.

Protesters also tweeted that officers pepper sprayed anyone trying to film them:

Instead of immediately helping the victims and searching for the men who shot them, protesters also allege that officers were just “standing around” and not helping at all. One protester tweeted that it took officers 15 to 20 minutes to respond when they were literally a block from the police station.

Police did refute that claim, saying in a release
Dozens of officers responded almost immediately attending to victims and secured the scene. Additional resources were called in and are actively investigating the shootings, interviewing a multitude of witnesses. The Police Department is working to identify suspects. The police are asking that anyone with information to please come forward. … The Minneapolis Police Department has additional uniformed officers in the area to ensure the safety of all persons.
The sad state of normalcy in today’s America where white supremacists are back to their old tricks, trolling protests not with words but now with weapons. Sometimes it’s hard to believe that we’re still dealing with this in 2015 and that people like these shooters are still allowed to exist. Why is it that Donald Trump wants to have a database of all Muslims, but not of white supremacists who actually advocate the violent overthrow of the government?
